Bible Study Finder Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Bible Study Finder helps people discover, host, and request to join local Bible studies. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information shown in the app

Public listings are designed to show general group details such as approximate location, city, schedule, study description, host-provided affiliation, meeting format, tags, and open seats. Private home addresses should not be displayed publicly.

Information users may provide

Users may provide account and profile information such as name, email address, phone number, age, gender, language preference, profile photo, church or affiliation, and a short profile description.

Hosts may provide Bible study listing details such as title, host name, church or affiliation, city, neighborhood, schedule, meeting format, meeting place type, public meeting place name or address, private address details, capacity, tags, and descriptions.

People requesting to join a study may provide an introductory message. Users may also submit reports, feedback, and basic moderation-related information when using safety tools in the app.

Bible Study Finder uses Supabase to provide authentication, account storage, profile data, Bible study listings, join requests, reports, feedback, push notification token storage, and administrator moderation. Some app preferences may also be stored locally on the device.

Location privacy

Bible Study Finder is intended to encourage privacy-conscious location sharing. The app may request device location permission to estimate distance to nearby Bible studies and improve discovery results. Hosts can also enter city, neighborhood, public meeting place, or private meeting details.

Private addresses should only be shared after a host approves a request and both sides are comfortable. Public meeting places such as restaurants or coffee shops may be shown for routing in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Maps

When a user opens directions, the app may open Apple Maps or Google Maps with the meeting place query entered by the host. Use of those map services is governed by Apple or Google policies.

Messages and requests

Join request messages are intended to help hosts decide whether to share more details. Users should not include sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial information, medical information, or private home addresses in introductory messages.

Reports, blocking, and moderation

Users can report listings that appear unsafe, inaccurate, spam-like, or otherwise inappropriate. Users can also block hosts locally in the app. Administrators may review reports and moderate listings or community activity.

Push notifications

The app may request permission to send notifications for request and host updates. If notification permission is granted, a push notification token may be stored so Bible Study Finder can send those app notifications.

Tracking and analytics

Bible Study Finder does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. The app does not use advertising tracking.

Children

Bible Study Finder is not designed to collect information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise minors when using apps that involve meeting other people.
